CHINESE KOI BREEDER
He's a Chinese gentleman in his sixties, with nearly 35 years of experience breeding and selecting koi. The first time I met him, he was wearing simple overalls and working with dedication and focus on his farm. With great enthusiasm, he showed me his farm and the ponds full of brightly colored koi.
He carefully explained to me the details of each koi: the different varieties, colors, and breeding techniques. His love and passion for koi shone through clearly. Despite being elderly, he doesn't speak Italian and is unfamiliar with smartphones and modern social media, which poses a significant challenge to selling his fish. He confided in me that this is one of the reasons he's struggled to promote his koi.
He told me that most of his koi (about 95%) come from renowned Japanese breeders, while a portion comes from major Chinese breeders. To demonstrate the quality of his fish, he showed me several official breeding certificates, his eyes filled with pride and hope. He hoped I could help him promote his koi through my platform.
Not knowing koi well, I was a little hesitant to accept this promotion. But he firmly told me: "It doesn't matter. If I don't speak the language, I'll use translation tools. If a client has any issues with their care, I'll resolve them personally, because I take full responsibility." His dedication and responsibility deeply impressed me.
So I decided to use my platform for free to help him promote this project. I have profound respect for a Chinese man who has built his dream over nearly forty years. This is our story.
